Star wars planet scenery4/16/2024 ![]() It was a hot and humid world and a hotbed of life. But just the scenes you already know, like two droids wandering through the desert." Yes, I'm sure it's perfectly safe for droids." ―Luke Skywalker, to R2-D2 ĭagobah was a planet located in the Sluis sector of the Outer Rim Territories. And yes - they integrated some scenes of the movies into the drone flights. this? Then you better look for a new job. No charming details, n-o-t-h-i-n-g! When your boss hands over a whole galaxy of possibilities to you and all you come up with is. The volcano thingy? Just the "castle" and lava streams. Why, you ask? Because the makers did not have a single idea beyond the absolute minimum. Man, was I wrong - those 18 minutes dragged on for ages. But still - when I saw the ad for the Biomes "movie" I was thrilled - seeing the majestic landscapes of Hoth, etc in screensaver-mode sounded quite entertaining. There are just too many crap ideas, failed executions and mediocre movies in the Star Wars saga to be raving fanboyish about everything coming from Disney. I do hope they make more of these, but I hope they pick better biomes, and add more life and the enjoyable subtle details that made most of this show fun to watch.įirst - I like Star Wars, but I would not consider myself a real fan. Overall, this concept is very welcome and enjoyable, but it can be downright boring when a stagnant biome is featured. You know, somewhere that offers the potential of movement. Now, I'm not saying this is bad, but one has to wonder why more interesting biomes like Endor, Scarrif, Naboo, Kamino, or Yavin IV weren't selected. Once a shuttle flys by, it's two minutes of staring at his castle. Same can be said for Mustafar, Darth Vaders lava-filled adopted home. Mando's ship flys by and then it's two minutes of just a rice patty field. As mentioned, the rice fields from Mandalorian offers nothing but an overly long shot with not much more to keep it interesting. Whereas, Hoth and Tattooine are brimming with subtle activity and movement, the other locations are not. So, what holds this show back from getting a score of 10? Basically, it's the biomes that they chose to show. Hoth and Tattooine being the best, and the rice patty location from season 1 of The Mandalorian being the worst. Each sequence is approximately two minutes in length and vary in degree of enjoyment. The action is slow and subtle, but with a relaxed vibe. ![]() Keep an eye out for probots and tauntauns, while making your way towards the familiar sight of AT-ATs trudging towards the shield generator. You'll glide over the snowy, mountainous terrain as a squad of snow speeders fly on by. ![]() The show opens on Hoth, as it should, as it is the most detailed and enjoyable of the bunch. None of these elements are in your face, or dramatically presented, rather you are a bird in flight peacefully looking down on the happenings of the Star Wars universe. Six slow, lengthy, uninterrupted flyovers of various Star Wars locations, each dotted with the familiar vehicles and inhabitants we've come to know and love. I am rating "Star Wars Biomes" a bland five out of ten stars. While "Star Wars Biomes" was watchable, this was hardly something outstanding or something that I would return to watch a second time around. It should be said, though, that you have to keep alert and check the locations, because some minute details may be shown, and it definitely was enjoyable enough to have some of the iconic vehicles, locations, creatures and such make short appearances as you take a bird's view trip over the different locations. Sure, there is no storyline here or anything going on aside from showcasing some iconic and memorable locations of the "Star Wars" galaxy, so this is something that is interesting only to the hardcore fans of the "Star Wars" franchise. Some of the scenes where you visit some of the planets and locations were rather interesting, such as the likes of Hoth and Tattooine for example, whereas others were just downright boring. And I will say that the 2021 "Star Wars Biomes", virtual vacation as they called it, was a mixed bag of nuts. With this being a "Star Wars" title, of course I had to sit down and watch it.
